Disneyland (AKA Lots of Pictures)

Last week was Christian's spring break so we took off to Southern California to visit DISNEYLAND!
We left a little bit too early for Kate. She was pretty groggy as we pulled out. I wasn't sure how she was going to do in Disneyland, but it seemed like she loved it. We met my family (all but my dad) there. Since there was someone to watch Kate while we went on the big rides we were able to do Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, California Screaming, Tower of Terror, and all the other must-be-over-42-inches type rides.

Did I mention I traded in my "Give a Day" pass for tons and tons of fast passes? We barely waited in any lines.

And now for the mass amount of pictures:
This sign is at the exit of The Pirates of the Caribbean ride. My sister kept laughing at it and saying, "It's a Disney miracle! All the sudden you go to Disney and you can walk."
We went to see Captain EO. Interesting fact: I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 1 yr. old. The day we went just happened to be the day Captain EO opened for the first time. We even got T-shirts (free, I think) because we were there for the grand opening. My favorite part about it is that the floor bounces up and down to the beat of the music.

Kate really liked Dumbo. She also really liked the Carousel. I guess she likes to go round and round.
Here Betsy and Kate are sharing a stroller and a toy. Even though they are four months apart, they look pretty similar in size. A few people asked if they were twins.
When we went to ride Peter Pan, somehow Christian and I got separated from the rest of the group by about fifteen people. My brother-in-law, Brad, had been holding Kate, but at one of the switchbacks he passed her over to us. When we switched back again, a lady looked over at my holding Kate and said, "It's the weirdest thing, I just saw a baby who looks just like that over there..........."
In a fish basket.
Taking a picnic break with Aunt Carrie.
On our last day we were able to catch up with my friend from the teaching program at the U, April, and her adorable son, William. He is a total stud. I've been talking him up to Kate ever since, but she hasn't made any commitments yet. Maybe I'll ask her again in twenty years.
You've got to love those ears, right? Well we took a couple hat pictures of our own:
Since Kate's favorite ride was Monster's Inc., we ended up buying her a Boo doll. She especially loves munching on those big stuffed eyeballs.
One of the days we stopped by the J. Paul Getty Villa. It was amazing! It's located right on the coast it is a beautiful place to stop. I highly recommend it.
It was a fun trip, but I think it wore Kate out in the end.

  2. I love all the hat pictures. Liam is still in love with Kate. No other girl has surpassed her in beauty or captivation for him (yet). Wonder what she will tell us when she can actually say what she thinks about him. Hope you come back to Disneyland soon---Disney misses you!!!
