We've been busy lately! We went to Salt Lake last week so that Kate could finally meet her Aunt Carrie that she has heard so much about. Carrie has been serving a mission in South Korea and it feels like it has been FOREVER since we've seen her. She's still the same old Carrie except her wardrobe has changed a bit.

You can tell by her big smile that Kate was really happy to see her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!! She played and played and had a really good time.

Some how during the trip (I'm not sure how it happened) Christian touched a Mac. If any of you know my husband, you'll know that if he were to write the analogy part of the ACT he would probably include one that read:
PC is to the University of Utah as Mac is to BYU.
He's very passionate about both sides of that analogy. The best part of it is that the owner of this particular Mac goes to school at BYU.

Since we've been home, Kate has learned a new skill. She can now (as of today) pull her self up to a standing position. Unfortunately I took this picture before when she could only get herself half-way up.

As you may know, two very important events are coming up: my 25th Birthday and our 2 year wedding anniversary. I have 4 friends who also have March birthdays (the 8th, 27th, 27th, and 28th) so yesterday we had a party for the 5 of us. One of the birthday girl's husbands made smoked pork that took hours and hours to make. It was amazing!

We also had a delicious birthday cake with everyone's name on it. It's been a long time since I've had my name on a cake. It made me smile.

And last but not least in the game of blogging catch-up, we recently made a very good purchase. We got a hiking backpack for Kate and today we tried it out.
We finally saw Carrie on Sunday. She failed to model her new wardrobe for us, however...
ReplyDeleteBaby backpacks are the best! Ours is still surviving with #4 and hopefully will last until he's outgrown it. I use it for grocery shopping too, to keep him away from grocery cart germs.
