Happy Birthday Baby Cakes

I think I can officially say that the last year was one of the funnest of my life. I love being a mom. I am so lucky to have such a sweet little girl. Today it was great to be able to celebrate Kate and all she means to us.

Kate had a garden themed birthday party.

My friend Britt made an AMAZING princess cake. Not only did it look wonderful, it tasted wonderful as well.

Kate loved opening presents (and appreciated the help from her friends--it's hard work, after all.)

Finally, after the whole thing was over and it was almost time for bed, I remembered to take her picture in her newborn outfit. She was happy and perky all day up until this point, and then.......well, you can see what happened next.

We love you Kate! Thanks for making us parents and giving us an amazing year. I can't wait to see what the next one brings.
