We just got home from a really fun night here:

where we watched the Jazz/Kings game. Kate had a really good time. She liked sitting in her own seat, but if we didn't hold the seat down it would fold back up with her inside.

I tried to get Kate to cheer for the Jazz, but she was too enamored by the King's mascot, a big fuzzy Lion. I'm pretty sure she thought the whole reason we went to the game was to watch the lion. By the look on her face, she thought all those guys running around chasing the ball were just the side entertainment while we waited for the lion to come back out. Whenever he left she would put both hands out, palms up, and say in a distraught voice, "Go? Go? Go?"
The second he came back out she'd get super excited. Here's her face after he came out at half time.

I couldn't believe Kate stayed awake for the whole game! However, she was asleep by the time we left the parking lot.

p.s. Even without Kate cheering for them, the Jazz won!
That was such a nail-biter of a game! That's awesome that you guys got to see it in person. Oh and Kate is adorable. But I'm sure you already know that.
ReplyDeleteWe never really watch sports (ever), but Brad and I were on a date (a date!) that night and it was on where we were eating (uhh....ahem....the food court at UCSD!! But it's really romantic if you're there WITHOUT CHILDREN, and the price is right!) so we got to see it! You should have waved, knowing I could see you.
