More Bobby!

Yesterday we got to come home from the hospital. Here's James, all ready to go. Check out his Ute socks. I'm not sure who looked smaller in the carseat, James or Kate.
We walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Kate and grandma opened the door and Kate's eyes got super big. "BOBBY!" she yelled. She was so excited to see him. She had us lay out his blanket and lay him on the floor next to her. She held his hand and got a total kick out of it when he reached out and grabbed her arm.
After a few minutes on the floor, she decided to give him the grand tour of the house. She showed him his new bed and showed him how the mobile works. She then showed him her bed and room. I think she was trying to say "And if you need anything else, I'll be in here."
Kate loves having James around. I put him down in the swing and she went over and grabbed her doll blanket and lovingly put it on top of him.
Today as I put Kate down for her nap, she got really upset and started to cry because she wanted James to sleep with her. She kept saying, "Bobby! Bobby! Bobby!". The first thing she did when she woke up was find James. She's absolutely in love and it makes me the happiest mom in the world.

  2. It totally doesn't feel real that you have a boy and a girl! I can't wait to meet him!! I have to say - Kate looked smaller in the carseat, but I still can't believe just how TINY he looks in there! I LOVE his green clothes. Oooooh he's just so perfect!

  3. BTW, I had this great image in my head of a grown-up boy named Bobby.

"Is that short for Robert?" people will ask. "Nope, James."
    "Really? How does that work?"
"Well, my sister always called me Bobby..."

  5. Too cute! Now you just need one more girl and one more boy and you'll be just like us. Just wondering, but is the photo on your blog header of the ancestor whose namesake you share?
