Raining Cats and Dogs

Yesterday the kids and I went out on an 'adventure'. That's where I tell Kate we're going when I know we need to get out of the house, but I'm not sure where we're going to go. Once we were all loaded in the car I decided to stop by the animal shelter that's about two blocks away from our house. We had a great time looking at all the dogs and cats. When it was time to go, I looked out and noticed the sky was looking pretty grey. By the time I got the kids loaded in the car, some big raindrops were starting to fall. As I pulled out of the parking lot, there were sheets and sheets of water falling from the sky. The two block drive took me about fifteen minutes because I could barely see. Once we got home, getting the kids from the car to the door soaked me to the bone. Really, soaked! There was not an inch of my clothes that wasn't wet. The pictures below are from denverpost.com. Denver Post stated that between two and three inches of rain fell in a one hour period!! Crazy, huh??
