Butterfly in the Sky, I Can Fly Twice as High

Today we went to the 'Butterfly Pavilion'. It's a really neat place with lots and lots of bugs. In the first room, there are tons of little glass boxes with all different sorts of bugs, walking sticks, cockroaches, and lots of spiders. In this room there was also a tarantula named Rosie. If you were brave enough to let Rosie crawl from the employee's hand into yours, you could proudly sport a sticker that stated something like, 'I held a tarantula'. Not a single member of the Kelsey family received such a sticker. I guess we all have the same feelings about tarantulas. In the next room, there was a touch-tide-pool. Kate liked petting the starfish. Feeling confident, she also reached in to touch the horseshoe crab. The second it moved she became uninterested in touching sea life. The third room was the best. The actual butterfly pavilion. Butterflies were everywhere!

James LOVED the butterflies. He tried very hard to catch them. Luckily for the little butterflies, he's not all that coordinated yet. Kate really like the butterflies as long as Christian was right next to her to protect her from any butterfly danger. I understand, a butterfly flying at your face can be quite intimidating.

  1. We must admit, we are disappointed you didn't receive the "I held a tarantula" sticker. K must have missed teaching you something way back when...
