My birthday/anniversary is on the 29th. Christian got a call to go to a job interview in Utah on the morning of the 30th. Since I didn't want to spend my birth-a-versary alone, we packed up the kids and all went together. However, since Christian knew we weren't going to be able to celebrate on my actual birthday, he arranged quite the weekend for me.
There was hiking.
There were presents.
The best one was and iPhone. I'm now trendy. Do you love that he wrapped with printer paper and duct tape?
There was cake.
Don't be deceived by it's appearance. Even though it looks a little sloppy, I made the best ever strawberry/lemon frosting. It was amazing.
And the best part......there was a date!!!
Christian took me out to the Melting Pot. While there our waitress delivered these flowers for me. I thought it was sweet! Almost as sweet as being able to eat dinner without worrying about getting hit with flying peas flung by little hands.
Here's to another year of life and marriage!
Looks like a fun day. You are a brave person for having your wedding on your birthday. Congrat. 30 really isn't all that exciting unless you do something for it.
