A Revised Camping Trip

A few weeks ago we attempted a camping trip. We were all very excited. The car was packed to the max and off we headed into the mountains. Upon arriving we discovered that there was a state-wide burn ban. It made sense, seeing that the state was mostly on fire, but hot dogs and marshmallows just aren't the same without a little flame. Shortly after we discovered the ban, big rain drops started to fall. We decided it just wasn't meant to  be and headed home. On the plus side, on our drive home we saw the two cutest baby deer I've ever seen. Here is the only picture I took while we were on our camping adventure:

Instead of waking up to the sounds of nature Saturday morning, we woke up in our cozy beds. Still a little disappointed, we packed up and drove to  a place called 'Tiny Town'.

I thought it was a lovely replacement to camping, even though Christian thought it was a little hokey.

It's basically as the name describes, a tiny town, made of tiny houses, complete with a tiny train you can ride.

As you can probably tell, James especially had a good time.
