Some Random Stuff From My Life

Like the title implies, there is no theme to this post. Just random. To start off, I was at the grocery store the other day. I got one of those GIANT double kid carts (the kind that make you feel like you're pushing  a cruise ship, not a shopping cart) when I noticed this warning.

That's right, the maximum weight capacity for the two seats is 250 pounds!!!!!! That's a lot of kid! And I thought I was pushing around a lot with the 55 pounds of combined weight that is Kate and James.

Staying on the grocery cart topic, how cute are these two?

Can you tell James got a lot of sun this summer?? It almost looks like he has a shirt on, but he doesn't.

On Tuesdays we usually walk to story time. It's about a mile there and a mile back. Kate's been determined lately to walk both ways. Most weeks she makes it with no complaints!
This last time she couldn't wait until we got inside to read her book. She plopped down on the front steps and started to read.

Before the last Utah football game, Kate gave James a lesson in cheering. She was trying to teach him to say, "Go Utes!", but got frustrated because every time she'd say "Go", he'd automatically say, "Utes!" instead of saying the whole phrase. It made me smile.

We got our first snow for the year last week. We went out to play in it first thing in the morning. I'm glad we played early because by the afternoon it had all melted. When James say his bike he kept saying, "Uh-oh! Uh-oh!" Shortly after he figured out he could sit on it anyway.
Kate was so excited to make snow angles. Our porch was quickly covered with body prints.

Here are the kids' completed (well, Kate still needs wings and a wand) Halloween costumes, Abby Cadabby and Elmo. Kate is more excited about hers than she looks in this picture. I told her to hold still, and apparently she took me very seriously.

James loves his costume and cried when I took it off.

We're going to visit my sister in San Diego next week. We're finally going to meet the new baby. Last time we went to San Diego, this is what my family looked like. 4 grandkids later, it looks a lot different now!
