As I mentioned before, my children have a moderate/severe obsession with Disney's Sophia the First. Kate switches between pretending to be Princess Sophia and Princess Amber. They usually tell me I'm Queen Miranda (the rest of the time, they tell me I'm Baileywick, the servant). They demand that Christian pretend to be King Roland or Cedric the sorcerer. James, of course, always pretends to be Prince James.
After a few weeks on pretending to be Prince James, James told me he needed a Prince James costume.It took some serious thinking, but this is what I came up with.
