Have I mentioned that I love Colorado? It is a beautiful place. I especially like heading up into the mountains. We went on a wonderful hike a little over a week ago. It was the perfect length (about 3 miles), the perfect weather, and had some really good stops along the way.
As we started hiking, the kids started spontaneously chanting positive affirmations like, "I can do this!", "We're strong!", and for some reason, "We just need to go right and we'll get there!".
The first stop on the hike was a fire tower. There were some beautiful views from the top.
Kate's favorite part was climbing up the rocks along the way.
Our last stop on the hike was a 'castle' that some rich person built a long time ago. It was struck by lighting and burned down. This is all that was left of it.
