December was just wonderful. We did lots of fun things. We went to our ward Christmas party and I got to sit next to this cute guy. Isn't he adorable?

The kids got to see Santa for the third time. When Santa asked, "What do you want for Christmas?" James answered, "I already told you! Twice!" He's so funny.
We finally renewed our zoo pass and we got two free tickets to Zoo lights. Yay!
James was so cold he ended up with Christian's sweatshirt on top of his coat, sweatshirt, and two other shirts. Underneath he had snowpants, jeans, and pajama pants.
Kate's school had an awesome Holiday/History party. They got a bunch of antiques from the Colorado History Museum. They also had TONS of different activities and treats. James was so excited siblings were invited.
James' favorite activities were stringing popcorn and making a candy Wright Brothers plane.
Kate's favorite was writing with a quill.
I love the attention and kindness the staff at Kate's school give the kids!
I had a wonderful surprise! Ms. Eleanor, the wonderful woman who used to do storytime at our local library, wrote me an email that she would be doing storytime again for December. We had so much fun seeing her again. It made me feel nostalgic of when we first moved to Denver.
You know that phrase 'the box is more fun than the toy'? We got a whole bunch of packages in the mail from wonderful grandparents. The kids played with the boxes for hours. One day I went to change the laundry. I came back up and found that Kate had packaged up her brother and even taped it up. He thought it was hilarious. I was left confused as to how he fit in the box!!
The kids had their winter gymnastics show. They did a great job! We were really proud of them. And the best part? Christian won the raffle. He won free tuition for a summer camp. That man is so lucky! He wins everything he enters.
We drove around several time to look at lights. I thought this was awesome! At the airplane museum they had this out front.
The kids hung up their stockings, and then took them down, and then hung them up, again and again and again.
We made gingerbread houses. James helped me make the dough. He was a good little helper until he turned on the mixer before I was ready. Oops!
The kids had fun making them.
And they turned out pretty cute!!
