Last Sights of Summer

Here are the last few pictures of summer that have been sitting on my desktop.

We got the kids a new set of shelves at IKEA and they spent a whole week decorating the box so that it could be a 'party boat'.

Once it was done, they had a dance party on it and then we FINALLY got to toss it in the recycling.

Kate lost a second tooth. She was wiggling it with some floss when I bumped her hand pretty hard and it came right out. She was standing over the sink when it happened and the tooth almost went down the drain. Luckily I caught it with my cat-like reflexes.

We had a day of science in the park.

We spent lots of time at the Botanic Gardens.

I took the kids to a roller skate birthday party and they skated for the first time. It was kind of hilarious to watch! Although, I didn't do a lot better then them, so I guess I can't laugh at them too much.

We went back to one of our favorite parks, Belleview Park, and played in the creek.

We went to an awesome nature preserve where you could feed the fish. James thought it was hilarious.

We went on a really beautiful hike, but we had to turn around, not because the kids couldn't make it but because their pregnant mom couldn't. A little embarrassing.

We successfully grew cherry tomatoes and I baked them onto a pizza. They were delicious.

We made our annual trip to the Stake Fair, and it was great at always.

My friend babysat my kids while I had an ultrasound. This is the picture she sent me while I was at the Dr. Talk about some happy kids!

James and I went to storytime at Barnes and Noble and made mustaches.

And then football started! And summer was over. Kate has become Christian's football buddy.
