The Move
I haven't been on the computer in about a week and a half, so I'll do my best to summarize our big move. Basically, a week ago Tuesday, we packed up a big, giant truck with everything we have, woke up at three the next day, and went off on a grand adventure. The drive was long. We played the alphabet game most of the way. It got pretty competitive. Christian has eyes like a hawk and I had the advantage of not driving a big truck. We played many rounds, but in the end I lost only by a 'Z'. We pulled into the apartment complex mid-day, signed our lives away at the office (no, we won't get a pit bull and yes, we will clean the counters with the right cleaning supplies) and off we went to unload our whole lives. That took about five hours. That took out my second, third, and forth winds. Then we had a new challenge: to figure out where everything was going to go. I worked on that for a couple of hours, but then finally went to bed. It has taken about a week to get everything in the right place, but I think we're finally there. The job search is still on. Christian has applied for about 20-30 different jobs, but as of yet only has one interview lined up (and it's not until the middle of May). I've had less luck, but I've got some good leads. We now have California drivers licenses, my last name is officially Kelsey, I have a library card, and we have a super saver card at the grocery store. It's been a pretty productive week!
