As I studied the Victorian Era in High School, I fell in love with this beautiful style of home, so of course, my dream home would have to fall into the Victorian pattern. Not only are they amazing to look at, but they'd also be great to decorate for Halloween or Christmas.
Anyone coming to visit would be welcomed by intricately carved wooden double doors.

Most of the lower level would have wood floors. I don't actually know how to clean/polish wood floors, but I bet I'd catch on.

The house would be full of large windows and skylights. I love rooms to have lots and lots of light. Once again, I'm not sure of the cleaning that skylights involve, but this is a dream house, so a dream maid is probably included.

And, of course, there would have to be a window seat or two.
There would be a Martha Stewart-style kitchen.
Fully equipped.
Next to the kitchen there would be a large dining room with plenty of space for guests. I love having people over for dinner.
The living room would have a very high ceiling and lots of room to lounge.
There would be a room just for books.
Okay, maybe two rooms for books.
The house would be full of fun staircases.

And a fire pole for those days that you are really in a hurry.
There would be multiple bathrooms so that no one would need to wait to take a shower or dry their hair.

For the (dream) kids there would be bunk beds,

fun wallpaper,

and a tree house.

*Sigh*. That's all I can say: *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHey, can we come live at your dream house too? The children would LOVE the bunkbeds. They'd also like the slide/stairs. I would love the 2 library rooms. And that toilet might make potty training much more fun.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... strangely looks a lot like my dream house... (Although, if I'm not mistaken, that seems to be a compilation of the best features of SEVERAL dream houses. haha)
ReplyDeleteI love your house! Can we come visit sometime?
