No Joke!

For April Fool's Day I made a special dinner of "sushi" and "strawberry pie". The sushi had green fruit roll-ups wrapped around a little Rice Krispy treat and the pie was pink mashed potatoes on top of a meatloaf crust.

Christian was pretty suspicious. Especially of the pie.

But, in the end, it turn out to be one of his new favorite meals. He requested that we have it again, except without the pink food coloring.

Speaking of interesting dinners, I thought I stick these picture on as well. When I went to visit my sister in San Diego, my nephew, Gabe, kept saying that we needed to have a party. Somehow we settled on an 'America Day' party, complete with hot dogs, watermelon, flag yogurt, and a 'parade' with salt water taffy.

We also had red and blue ice cubes. I think that was Gabe's favorite part of dinner. He loved stirring his water around and drinking it off his spoon.
