Sweet Tooth

Every Wednesday we go to a really fun music class at the church for kids ages 0-5. Today at class there was a Halloween party complete with trick-or-treating. The kids went from bucket to bucket picking out pieces of candy. Kate didn't really get it but was happy at the increasing number of shiny things in her basket. She was even happy playing with them for a while until she traded this cute little frog for a tootsie roll.
She started chewing on the tootsie roll, wrapper and all. When suddenly she got through the paper, she couldn't believe what was in her hand.
She took a second look at it, then her eyes opened up saucer size and she gave me a look like, "Mom, where has this stuff been all my life?"

I let her have a couple of bites of tootsie roll. She couldn't believe her luck when afterward she got a bite of chocolate and Laffy Taffy. I couldn't help but laugh she stuck her green tongue out at me. I think Kate has a new favorite holiday!
