Christmas in Las Vegas

Sunday afternoon we headed to Las Vegas for the first leg of our trip. Kate was really great in the car and fell asleep around 7:30. We pulled into Las Vegas around midnight. As soon as the neon lights started going by Kate woke up with her batteries fully charged. After checking into the hotel, she ran around for about an hour until she was ready to go back to bed. She loved our hotel room. That first night was stayed at the Stratosphere and somehow we were in a handicap room. She loved it because all the light switches were right at her height and the bathroom sink was within her reach. This picture was taken around 1:30 in the morning. Christian is passed out on the bed and Kate is ready to go play.
Monday morning we went to the top of the Stratosphere tower. It was amazing how much you could see!
We also went to see Hoover Dam. Christian spent a lot of time teaching Kate how to say "Dam".
Monday night we moved to the Rio Hotel. The room was huge!
Tuesday I went to the temple while Kate and Christian hung out for a little while. It was one of my 25 goals for the year to go to a temple I'd never been to before. Check that one off!
Later we went to see the sights of Las Vegas. Kate especially liked the ceiling of the Bellagio Hotel.
On Wednesday, it was time for the whole reason for the trip to Las Vegas: the Utah bowl game.

We had really good seats.
Kate had a really good time. She was interested in what was going on on the field for most of the game. There's a chance she knows more about football than I do. Even though Utah didn't win we had a lot of fun.
