Birthday Bear

I love going to story-time at our library. Not only is it a great program, but I have a really good time spending chatting with the other moms and dads. There is one mom in particular who is especially nice. She always takes time to get down on her knees and talk to both Kate and James. She knows that Kate likes goldfish crackers so she brought Kate and extra bag to share. She recently moved here from India and doesn't mind that I ask her all sorts of questions about what it is like there. Overall, just a really nice lady. Today as we got up to leave story-time, she said, "Oh wait! I have to go get something for James. It's in my car." She came back with a present and inside was a cute white bear. I was amazed that she remembered it was going to be James birthday on Sunday and even more amazed that she got him a gift. Isn't it nice when people are so nice?
