Any Way You Do It

I took this picture the other day because out of a sea of yellow tulips, this one just really stood out. 

There are a million different ways to be a mother. Some work, some don't. Some breastfeed, some don't. Some say 'I love you' all the time, some say it only once in a while. Some hold their child's hand so that they won't fall, some let their children learn from their mistakes. Some are strict, some are lenient. Some have children traditionally, some adopt. Some live close, some live far away. 

 Like this flower, all the of the 'mothers' in my life, my mom, mother-in-law, grandmothers, grand-mothers-in-law, aunts, aunts-in-law, friends who have watched over me and taken care of me when I have been in need of help, friends who have been examples in raising children, and, of course, sisters, are each different and unique. And I wouldn't want it any other way. Thank you to all of you.
