I know I've been a mediocre blogger lately. Christian pointed that out today. October flew by and now November is almost half way over. Here are a few things that have happened lately.
- James got a flu shot. He cried for a few seconds, and them promptly thanked the nurse as soon as she was done. He then walked out of the Dr.'s office as happy as could be. He makes me laugh all the time.
-I went to a check-up at the ENT about the weird thing that showed up on my x-ray almost 6 months ago at the dentist. I have now been to an oral surgeon, gotten a ct scan, and visited the ENT twice. This last visit he said, "I'll be totally honest, I have no idea what that actually is." The oral surgeon diagnosed it as a tonsil stone, but after a pretty thorough scope, the ENT said he couldn't see a stone and that the tonsil looked totally normal. I think our plan is to wait a couple months and then get my tonsils out just to find out what it actually is. Blah. I'm very appreciative to all the nice ladies who have watched my kids while I've been to all these Dr.'s appointments.
-We went and saw the movie Brave at the dollar theater as a family. Kate loved it, but also got a little scared. Later she asked me, just to make sure, "You don't ever turn into a bear, right?"
-Kate now knows how to read a few words. Zoo, pop, Kate, James, and dot are some that she's able to read most of the time. It makes me happy.
-Here are a couple cute pictures. If we're friends on Facebook, you've probably already seen them.
