Sunny San Diego

As I've stated before, I'm the worst at blogging about vacations. We recently went to San Diego and had a wonderful time, I've been debating about what picture to post ever since. I'm going to post tons, just be prepared.

My parents rented a house in San Diego for the weekend. It had an awesome backyard. The kids played and played and played and played. There was an outdoor shower (you know, to wash your feet off after you had been to the beach). They thought it was just about the best thing ever.

Our first night there we had a beach bonfire. It was so fun. I was kind of worried about James and flames, but he quickly caught on that you don't touch the fire.

Here I am snuggling with my little beach baby. I am almost never in pictures on my blog because I'm usually behind the camera. I have a total of 3 picture of me from the trip, and this is one of them.

 Kate and her daddy.

This was James' first time ever seeing the ocean. This was what is face looked like when he saw it and felt it for the first time.

How awesome is this house?? This was the view out the living room widow. Right behind that building is the beach. I loved it!
Kate and Betsy were pretty much attached at the hip most of the trip. I only picked up Betsy once thinking it was Kate.
 The three amigos.

We tried to get a picture with all 5 grand-kids. This is as good as it got.

Here's a close-up of Luke just because he is so darn cute!!!

One of the of San Diego stops was to Legoland. We had such a good time. James got a kick out of all the people made out of Legos.

There was much more than just Legos at Legoland. There was also ice cream:
Trick-or-treating (or, as they called it, brick-or-treating),
 and mini-golf.
It was such a fun trip. We had a great time, and I almost started to believe that it was summer again. That is, until we flew home to this:

We didn't actually make this snowman.
But we improved upon him by adding this:

  1. It was great to see you and your family, even though it was just for a short time!
