Christian picked out an amazing hotel for us to stay in. We stayed at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge and it was stunning! This is a picture of the main lobby at night.
The coolest part about the hotel is that it was surrounded by wild animals. We could see zebras, giraffes, antelope, and all sorts of wildlife out the windows. At night we would sit on the porch and watch the watering hole. In the middle of the night, we could hear ostriches. I loved it.
The kids thought the bunk bed was just as exciting as the animals.
Christian's favorite Disney food is the pineapple whip. James quickly joined the whip fan club.
For our second day we went to Magic Kingdom. Kate quickly decided that Dumbo was her favorite ride. While you wait to ride dumbo you get to go into 'Dumbo's Circus Tent'. Inside is a big circus themed playground. They give you a little buzzer like those they have at restaurants and then you get to go play while you wait. Once the buzzer goes off, it's time to get on the ride. Genius, right??
While on the topic of genius, I love the magic bands we got. It's an electronic wrist band that is used for your room key, entrance to the park, fast passes, and you can use it to charge anything to the room of you set it up with a pin code. They were great. Genius, genius.
For the most part we'd eat one big meal and then eat snacks that we brought from home the rest of the day. On our second day we ate at Cinderella's castle. Talk about magical!
Kate got a magic wand. She immediately started granting wishes.
James got a sword. He immediately started using it to cut his cheese.
Christian got a fancy dessert and immediately started eating it.
I wish this picture turned out better, but oh well.
I hated the teacups. I always do. Everyone else loved them. James thought it was hilarious when Christian spun us extra fast and I screamed.
Here's another example of genius. In the Winnie the Pooh ride line there were vegetable drums, flowers to spin, a honeypot ball game, Eeyore's house to climb through, little bees on a track that you could slide through the beehives, big screens that looked like dripping honey that would change when you touched them, and stepping stones that would make gophers pop out of different holes when you stepped on them.
James' favorite ride was the people mover. We rode it three or four times because he loved it so much.
Every night on the bus ride home James would pass out on the seat. I think that just meant he was having a really good time.
