Disney: Day 3

On our third day in Disney we went to Epcot.

Let me just preface this post by saying before we even left Denver we promised Kate we would be able to see Elsa and Anna (from the movie Frozen) in Disney World. We also promised her that she would be able to pick out a Frozen doll or toy while we were there. While we were researching for our trip, we found out that Elsa and Anna would be in the Norway section of Epcot right next to a store, which we assumed would be full to the brim with Frozen paraphernalia.

We started to day of nice and easy, stopping to smell the flowers.

The country section wasn't open when we first got there, so Christian and Kate rode the big kid rides while James and I looked at Inoventions and said hello to some of the characters.

Our first stop in the countries was Norway so that we could get in line to see Elsa and Anna. We had no idea what we were getting into! As we were walking up we could see a giant line wrapping around Norway. I found a friendly Disney person to ask how long the wait was going to be. She said, with a smile on her face, three to four hours. Yup. You read that right. Three to four hours!!!! You would think we would have been sane, reasonable people and skipped it, right? Nope. Kate was determined to see Elsa and Anna, so we were to. Christian and I took turns waiting in line while the other would take the kids to go see another country or ride. Actually, most of the line waiting was done by Christian. He was very determined. I think the total wait was three and a half hours. However, it was all worth it to see the look on these kids' faces. Elsa and Anna were very sweet and took a few minutes to talk to each of the kids individually. We did notice that Elsa never touched either of the kids. I guess she didn't want to freeze them.

Remember how I told you we had promised Kate a Frozen toy? We did find the store in Norway. Guess what Frozen items it contained: about 4 books. Nothing else. No dresses, no toys, no dolls, nothing. It was all SOLD OUT! Can you believe that????

Well, we might not have gotten anything at the store, but I did get this cute picture of Kate.

We did get to see a few more countries (beside Norway). The kids really like China.

James loved Germany because it had this awesome model train set.

My favorite ride was 'The Land'.
