Disney: Day 4

For day four we headed back to Magic Kingdom. Kate was excited on the bus ride over because the bus was so full she got to stand up and hold the bar. She felt very grown up.

The kids were really excited to ride the Haunted Mansion....until they actually rode the Haunted Mansion. They both came out looking pretty terrified. A few minutes later, James decided he had like it and wanted to go again. He and Christian rode it again together. Then, not to be out done by her little brother, Kate decided she was no longer scared by the Haunted Mansion and begged to go again. Now if you ask what their favorite ride was, they both say, "The Haunted Mansion".

The Haunted Mansion was another ride with interactive things to play with in the line.
When you touched the instruments on this wall it would play different music with each particular instrument.

There was also this haunted bookshelf. When you pushed in one book, several more popped out.

Kate loved Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride.

I liked this camel head sticking out of the bottom of the carpets. I also like that Kate looks like she's trying to pick its nose.

When we got off the ride, Kate discovered the jewels embedded in the ground. She also found seashells by the Little Mermaid ride and peanuts in next to the Dumbo ride.

 I love my boys.

After Pirates of the Caribbean, James decided he needed a telescope.

During the next line, James and this little boy played 'I'm blasting you', James with his telescope and the little boy with his robot arm. I think it's funny how boys play.

We went to see Merida from the movie Brave. James fell in love with her and did a pretty good job of charming her.

James even got two kisses form her.

Both kids got to practice their archery.

We ate lunch at Belle's Castle. It was very high tech. You order in a room with little computers, pick a seat in the ball room, and then the waiters with trays find you based off your 'magic rose' (a little electronic device).

Both kids got pixie dusted at one of the stores. Even now, almost a week later, they both still have oodles of pixie dust in their hair.

Our last stop of the day was one of Kate's favorites: the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. I was amazed at how quickly she bounded up all those steps even after a whole day of playing.

Not only did she have energy for the tree house, but that night we went home and she swam in the pool with me for almost an hour.
