Disney: Day 5 (The Final Post)

When we were getting on the airplane to fly to Florida, either the pilot or the co-pilot was standing outside the cockpit. When James saw him, he got excited and started saying hello. Conversation went as follows:
Pilot: Hi buddy!
James: Hi!
Pilot: Where are you going today?
James: Disney World!
Pilot: Awesome! Who lives there?
James: Mary Poppins!!!!!!!
The pilot started laughing. I think he was probably expecting Mickey Mouse or someone else. When we got off the plane, the pilot was there again and said, "Have fun seeing Mary Poppins!"

Well, our plan was to see Mary Poppins when we went to Epcot because she was going to be in England. However, we waited so long in Norway, by the time we got to England she was gone. Christian figured out that the hotel next to Magic Kingdom had a Supercalfagalistic Breakfast. On our last day, we headed over so that James could see Mary Poppins. He almost couldn't believe it when he saw her. It was very sweet!

After breakfast we took a boat back to the park. As you can probably tell, it was a little gray and cloudy our last day. I can't complain because we had amazing weather the whole time we were there.

As soon as we walked into the park, we turned the corner and guess who was there.....yup! Mary Poppins. Well, we got to see her twice!

For some reason I was excited to see nuns at Disney World.

The kids loved the cars ride. The first time I rode it with James I thought, "I don't remember these cars being so hard to drive!" Then I thought, "Wow, I didn't realize the steering wheels were adjustable." Then I looked down and thought, "I don't think I'm supposed to be able to see the bottom of the steering wheel attachment." Turns out the car was broken. James and I bumped our way back through the course. When we got back, I let them know it was broken. They gave us a new car and we got to go around again.

Kate and I finally had 'alone' together. I usually ended up alone with James because he's to little to ride some of the bigger rides, but we did get some girl time at the end. We decided to use our time to go to Tom Sawyer Island.

One of the last Disney things we did was called 'Enchanted Stories with Belle'. It was so awesome! You go through a set of rooms with different Beauty and the Beast Characters who prepare the kids to put on a show for Belle as a surprise. Each kid got a part: Kate was Maurice and James was the Beast.

James was basically the star of the show. He made a good Beast.

We had an awesome trip. We really bonded as a family. It does, however, feel good to be home and finally be getting back into a routine again.
