Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Is it just me, or is Frozen a crazy phenomenon to anyone else? Yes, it is a super cute movie. Yes, the music is amazing. But a 3 hour wait in Disney World just to see Elsa and Anna? Sold out of all merchandise at every single park in Disney World? The craziness didn't stop there. On Thursday the kids and I went to go see a special story time with Elsa and Anna at Bookies, a great kids bookstore near us. They have a character story time once a month. Each time we've been they hand us a number and the door to let us know what number we'll be to meet the character after the story time. Last time we went we were there 5 minutes before it started and we got number 35. This time we got there 20 minutes early and they had already stopped giving out numbers after the first 70 families. 70!!! Isn't that crazy? The lady sitting next to me drove from Colorado Springs just for the event. It took us about 5 minutes just to get through the door (and Open Door.....ha ha). I consider myself pretty lucky because my two friends, Andrea and Trista, got there almost and hour early and were numbers 4 and 10. They saved us a seat (or as much of one as they could, things were pretty tight!), and Andrea bought the kids a book to be signed. They also let us sneak in on their number. What a relief because this is what it looked like when we got there:

Once Anna and Elsa came in it got spookily quiet. I've never seen so many kids that little so quiet. They were just entranced.

Anna said, "I'm going to read you a book about my story." James looked up and said, "But it doesn't look like you!". I guess he's a realist. It made me and the two moms next to me laugh. Little did James know that Anna is the same gal who was Ariel last time we came.

Kate loved every minute.

Again, let me tell you how grateful I am that we got to have a turn seeing these two. I think Kate would have been devastated if we didn't get to.

James was also excited, but not enough to take his fingers out of this nose.

Finally, you have to watch the look on this little girl's face. Look for the girl in the Elsa dress and wig. She sang her heart out the whole time. I don't think anything could have topped her enthusiasm. She had me grinning from ear to ear.
