Family Visit

Last weekend my parents and sister Carrie came to visit. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love it when family comes to town!

This first thing my sister did when she got out of the car was give James his birthday present. It was the CUTEST sweater I have ever seen in my whole life, and she MADE it! By hand. It's amazing. And it even has a tail.

One of our stops was to a Nature Observatory.

Kate's favorite part was this play nest.

Afterward we went on a beautiful hike. It was the prefect length for a 3 and 4 year old.

We also stopped by the Buffalo Bill Museum and grave site. The kids loved becoming cowboys.

One of the best parts of having family come to town is that Christian and I had several kid free nights. We went with my sister to Rodizio Grill the first night. Carrie and I went to see divergent afterward (Christian had to be work early the next day). The next night Christian and I went to the temple and then out to dinner to Chilis. The last night Carrie and I went to the mall and stayed until closing. It was great adult time!

At Chili's they now have these tablets at each table. You can order from them, play games on them, and pay on them. I especially like when you go to put in the tip, it automatically tells you the percent. Its a nice feature for the mathematically impaired.

The kids loved having 'sleep overs' with my parents every night.

The highlight of the trip for the kids was playing mini-golf. James is STILL talking about how much fun he had.

Christian won. Surprised? I wasn't. However I was pretty proud that I beat my mom by 2 strokes. Not to brag or anything.......

One of my favorite parts of the trip was an outing to the plant store with Grandma and the kids. We walked around to see all the different plants, and then Grandma helped them each pick out a special plant. Kate got a petunia and James got a strawberry plant. We also got dirt to plant a whole bunch of different seeds. We went home and the kids had so much fun planting the seeds. By the end James was covered from head to toe in dirt.

It was such a fun weekend. The kids are already ready for them to come back!! Don't stay away long.
