Happy Apple

This last weekend we went to a place called Happy Apple Farm. It was in Penrose, so kind of a long drive, but it was worth it! 

It was a really cute place. The kids like all the signs that were around the farm. Christian and I were really surprised how many people there were! It was packed.

James got really into picking! He loved it.  

 

They encouraged us to eat the apples right off the trees to see which kind we liked the best. They were delicious.  

 

James quickly discovered he could reach more apples on my shoulders than on the ground.

 

The hay ride was pretty brief, but that was fine because it was also very dusty.  

 

*As a side note, I'm glad that my manly husband doesn't mind carrying my bag. He's pretty great.

We finished off the trip with apple cider donuts. Yum. I'd probably drive all the way back to Penrose just to have another one. They were delicious.

 

We now have 10 pounds of apples, so I promised the kids we could make apple pie. Other than that, we'll just be eating lots of apples.
