Christian
somehow went 29 years without getting his wisdom teeth taken out. The
oral surgeon told Christian that generally if you get your wisdom teeth
taken out before age 30, it's easier than afterward. Well, Christian
took that fact very seriously and decided to get the surgery done three
weeks before he turned 30. Maybe there was something to that because it
seemed like Christian recovered from the whole ordeal pretty quickly.
The
morning of the procedure I dropped Christian off at the oral surgeon's
office and then headed over to drop the kids off at my friend Jessica's
house. By the time I was pulling out of her complex, the nurse was
calling me to let me know that the procedure was done and Christian was
starting to wake up. It went super fast! I walked in to get him and he
was already standing up and ready to go. He was really smiley and kept
winking.....a LOT. He also kept putting his finger in the air and
saying, "NAILED IT!" He now claims that's totally normal behavior, but
I'm not so sure. This is what he looked like when I picked him up.
He
slept more than usual for the next couple of days, but other than that
(and his chipmunk cheeks of course) he was back to normal pretty quickly.
