Fun Museum Days

Do I post about museums a lot? I think it's probably no mystery that I'm kind of a museum-y person. Oh well. One of my favorite museums is the art museum. Last time we went we found this really fun exhibit where you can make your own sculptures.

Here is Kate's creation.

James was so proud of his creation he didn't want to leave it.

In the same exhibit there was a water color station. Here are my 3 paintings. Not to amazing, but it was so therapeutic to sit and paint!

Since our Science Museum pass expired, we've been waiting for a free day to go back. The free days are busy, but if you get there early they're not too bad. It's especially fun because they usually have all sorts of extra stuff set out. This time one of the extra exhibits was a make-your-own catapult station where you had to fling a starburst into a cup on the ground. After 6 tries, Kate got the starburst into the cup. The lady said she was the first kid of the day to get it in! She was really proud and kind enough to share her starburst prize with her brother.

There was also a free face paint booth. It was an airbrush face paint machine--which is a GENIUS idea! In only took about 45 seconds for each kid
