Christian and I have not always been great about leaving the kids to go on dates. It's hard to work out babysitting exchanges, we don't have very many teenagers around here who babysit, we don't have family near by......there are plenty of excuses. I feel like we do make good attempts to spend time together, watching shows together, playing games together, etc, but we're not always great at getting out of the house. Well, in June we went on two, count them, TWO dates right in a row. This first one was to go see Jurassic World. I'm pretty sure I should not have been as scared of that movie as I was, but I was. I was terrified. But it was fun.
When we got home, this is how we found James. The babysitter said he was determined to stay up and watch a show, but he didn't last very long.
Next we went to go see WICKED!
It had been on my list of things I've wanted to do for a long time. I was so excited!!! It was wonderful. 
We even went on a third date when we went to Utah, but I'll save that for a future post.
