Royal Contest

We went swimming with friend and while the kids were swimming together, they were also busy chatting and planning an elaborate princess contest they wanted to have. Apparently they were going to hold the contest because they wanted to see which of the three girls was going to get to marry James. They talked about all the competitions they were going to have, what they were going to wear, and even what time they were going to get together. They forgot to inform us adults of any details. When I got home, James and Kate were still talking about it, excited that it was going to happen the next day. They were very serious about the whole thing. I realized I'd better call me friend and ask if she could bring her girls over since James and Kate were completely convinced that it was happening anyway.

Kate dressed up as fancy as should could. She was having such a hard time waiting for the girls to arrive she decided to plop down and read a book.

Once the other princesses arrived, they colored and had a royal snack. Kate insisted on a table cloth.

Afterward they had all sorts of contests, a singing contest, a dancing contest, a musical instruments contest, and a balancing contest. James was the judge and the announcer. He got really into it. All the girls got ribbons that James and I made.
I think in the end they got so distracted by the ribbons they forgot to pick a winner to marry James. I guess he'll have to find a betrothed another way.
