Mess Makers

My kids are lucky they are so darn cute, otherwise they might be in trouble.

Mess in public place #1: The other day my friend watched Kate and James while I had an appointment with an oral surgeon (more about that another day). Kate and James had a really good time playing with their friend Mae, and when I came to pick them up, they didn't want to leave. I stayed and talked to Mae's mom for a while. I didn't pay attention to where my kids were for about 90 seconds. By the time I looked back, all three kids had the cupboard door open and Kate had taken out a container of flour and was happily sprinkling it on James' head. I laughed, apologized, helped clean up (Kate helped too), and then packed up to leave because I figure once your kids has gotten flour everywhere,  you've probably overstayed your welcome.  In the car I asked Kate why she had done it. She said, "I'm sorry Mommy. I was just sprinkling pixie dust on James and Mae so that they could fly."

Mess in public place #2: We went to James' friend's birthday party last week. It was a ladybug themed party, and they had this very cute ladybug cake. James ended up with that black part of the ladybug's body right in the middle.
 This was the outcome.
