Are you sick of hearing about my Utah trip yet? Don't worry, only 4 more days until we go home and then I'll have no more blogging material. Actually, I probably will. I mentioned this on Facebook, and if you're reading this you probably already know, but the Kelseys are off on another adventure. Apparently moving states once in a year is not enough. A few weeks ago Christian was offered a job in Denver. The pay is better and he won't have to travel 2 weeks every 3 months like he would have had to for the Phoenix job. It was hard to pass up having Christian home full time. We were about 3 days away from closing on a house, so we had to make our decision VERY quickly. So, less than 24 hour after Christian got the phone call, we were packing up our stuff an arranging how we would back out of the house and move back to Denver. It all seemed to work out perfectly. So, when we drive home in 4 days, we'll be driving home to Denver where Christian so kindly went ahead, found us a place to live, and moved all of stuff into. He really is a good guy. ANYWAY, that was not really the point of this blog post.
I've probably said this several times, but my kids are super lucky because they have the best grandparents in the world. Really, the best. And I'm not just talking about my parents, who are of course amazing (they are my parents after all). My in-laws are fantastic and my kids absolutely adore them! In the last 3 days Kate has been lucky enough to have a sleep over at Christian's dad's house and Christian's mom's house. She was spoiled like a princess both times. Both times I picked her up in the morning, she tried to hide it, but was pretty disappointed I had come because she would have been happy staying another week at either house.
I don't have any pictures from Kate's nights out (but if you get a chance to ask her, she'll tell you all the wonderful things she got to do, but I do have pictures from what I did during that time.
While Kate slept at her Grandpa's house, I got to go to the Wesley Bell Ringer's 50th Anniversary concert at Abrovanel Hall. It was great. Christian and I met in the Wesley Bells, so I always get a little sentimental when I hear them play. I also ran into about 10 or 15 people who used to play in the choir with me, people I hadn't seen for a good 10 years. Christian's sister, Cassie, played in the concert. Somehow she was right under a spotlight and her hair glowed a beautiful red-golden brown. Zoom in on this picture and maybe you can see it. It was stunning.
Yesterday when we went to drop Kate off at her Grandma's house, James started to feel a little jealous, so I promised him a trip to a toy store. We walked in and he found this big Pumba. He very sweetly asked me if he could plllllleeeeaaaasssseee ride it. I told his we'd have to go in and get some quarters. We walked in and started to wander around a little. About four minutes later, a man came up behind me and said, "Excuse me, ma'am, I heard your son at the door and I have a couple of quarters for the machine." James lit up and said, "Thank you! Thank you! I'm super super super super super super happy!". He really was super super super super super happy. He had a great ride and kept talking about the 'nice quarter man'.

So I learned, having a sleepover is fun for Kate AND us, because we get some time alone!
