Nebraska

Last week we went to Nebraska to be part of a celebration for my grandparents' 70th wedding anniversary.  Yup, you read that right. 70th!!! They are an amazing couple.
Here they are with Kate, James, and Luke (Emmy's son).

The  first event we attended was in a meeting room at my uncle's work. Take a look at this place and just imagine how much my kids loved it.

It was pure bliss for this little guy.

The fun didn't end there! There were rides on the luggage rack with great uncle Randy.

There was time with cousins in the exercise room.

There were hours spent with Kate's new favorite person, my cousin Brain, who entertained her with all sorts of magic tricks and piggy back rides.

There were trips to Target with grandma.

There were big (and I mean BIG) family meals together.

There was train time with grandpa.

There were stories with Aunt Emmy. For some reason Blogger won't let me flip this picture.

There were some lovely walks out enjoying the brisk Nebraska breeze.

And there was lots of time to honor two very wonderful people.

We had a wonderful weekend and I loved reconnecting with cousins I haven't seen since before I was a mom. The kids had so much fun, they've been begging to go back to Nebraska again.
