Final Thoughts on Halloween

As soon as Kate and James decided what they wanted to be for Halloween, they started fighting about what they wanted Christian to be. James wanted him to be Sir Topham Hatt and Kate wanted him to be Crush (from Finding Nemo). They finally came up with a compromise: Sir Topham Crush. Christian wore a turtle shell on his back and a top hat on his head. Trick-or-treating a success. It was chilly but fortunately the kids had warm costumes. We hit up one house who offered 'adult treats'. Have you ever heard of that? They had candy for the kids and jello shots for the adults. I thought it was pretty strange.

The Sunday before Halloween we carved pumpkins. I had Kate look with me online to pick out a pumpkin pattern. She picked a Hello Kitty witch. I was feeling pretty good about my pumpkin carving skills until Christian said it looked like Hello Kitty throwing up. Once he said that, it was all I could see. Christian carved an awesome Daniel Tiger (who was not throwing up) pumpkin but I didn't get a picture.

We left the pumpkins on the porch and the squirrels have been very grateful. They have loved munching on the different faces. Oh, and just for the record, vomiting Hello Kitty was their favorite.
