Even though it rained all through May and June, we did get a couple of fun hikes done. The first was a with some friends from church. We got wet and muddy, but we had a good time.
A few days later, we went on a really beautiful hike with the kids. They are becoming quite the hikers! There were ahead of us for almost the whole hike. They didn't wear out until the very end, which is pretty good for a three and a half miler.
The kids kept finding things along the trail that they loved and couldn't part with. We found a bunch of mica, which I was super excited about, and Christian could care less about. By the end of the hike, this is what my hands looked like.
Once we got in the car, the kids quickly fell asleep. I guess we wore them out.
Apparently they wore Christian out as well, because when we got home, this happened.
