This
picture pretty much sums up what this kids did almost every day in Utah:
Play outside and eat popsicles. It wasn't always this messy,
fortunately.
James
and Kate got to spend a whole morning with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt
Cassie. The went to see puppies (Kate told me that she REALLY wanted to
take one home. Someday Kate, someday.)
The also went to Thanksgiving Point, which the kids LOVED!
I
reconnected with some friends. I got to see my darling friend
Kim....but we forgot to take a picture together. I did get a picture
with my wonderful friend Jessica, though.
Our kids had an art party together.
I also got to see my good friend Molly and her sweet son.
From
the moment we parked the car in Utah, Kate was looking for her cousin
Betsy. Finally, after several days of waiting, the cousin twins were
reunited.
We had a fun evening down town going to the history center and out to dinner.
Uncle
Brad was kind enough to let James help push the stroller. Does it kind
of look like there is a doll in the bottom half of this stroller? It's
just my niece. She's just that adorable.
Later
we got to go up to Huntsville to spend some time with the Hansens.
James has dreamed of going on a boat for ages and Uncle Brad and Aunt
Emmy made it a reality. This girl looks like a natural on a boat, right?
James couldn't believe his luck when Uncle Brad let him sit behind the wheel.
After
a fun day in Huntsville we went to eat at the most delicious Barbeque
place. I kind of want to drive there right now just to eat there again.
It was seriously tasty.
While
we were wandering around Huntsville, we stopped to walk around a little
cemetery. Look what we found! A Dagny and a Christian! I got all
excited, not just because I'm a Dagny married to a Christian, but my
great-grandma was Lily Dagny married to James Christian. I think it's a
thing--if your name is Dagny, you have to marry a Christian.
What's the name of that BBQ place? We drive past Huntsville all the time to head to the in-laws.
